Slavit's soft "Lady" sculpture molds the subject of woman from a distorted psychological fantasy instead of a tradtional version of classical female beauty. The exaggerated legs, lustrous finishes and garish colors analyze the subject from the point of view of women as sex objects -- or, perhaps worse, as merely objects.
