Slavit's second Della inflatable; the indoor counterpart to Della (Street). Positioned inside the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York City in 1978, this inflatable shows Della––the secretary from the 1960s TV show Perry Mason who often found the camera's objectifying lens upon her legs––in stolid anticipation of the Museum's elevator. The nature of the interior air structure itself perpetually forbids her from entering the museum.

"The exaggeration in scale only serves to fortify this; the perception of towering adults, which reveal how ludicrous the landscape itself can be," Slavit says. "That's a constant theme throughout my work."
